Do I need my own merchant account for accepting credit cards?
Yes. In order to integrate Zooz, one needs to have a functioning merchant account. Zooz connects to the retailer’s existing infrastructure, giving the flexibility to integrate between acquirers, while funds are always routed to the retailer’s merchant account.
Does Zooz support mobile payments?
Yes. Zooz supports all channels and devices.
How can Zooz increase my conversion rate?
By enabling retailers to offer multiple alternative payment methods, without following complicated integrations, Zooz localises consumer payment preferences, minimising cart abandonment and empowering users to pay with their method of choice. Additionally, Zooz’s platform reduces decline rates by rerouting transactions to selected acquirers that will accept the payment. Do Zooz offer alternative customer support to my existing solution?

What does Smart Routing™ mean?
Smart Routing™ is a flexible solution that integrates into any merchant’s infrastructure and intelligently routes transactions between multiple financial institutions and across global boundaries. With Smart Routing, merchnats enjoy the flexibility of moving between processors, optimised processing fees, reduced decline rates, and global reach, while maintaining existing acquirer relationships and negotiated fees. This solution also provides increased flexibility for future infrastructural changes.
Can I use Zooz with my existing gateway or merchant account?
Zooz connects directly to retailers’ existing payment infrastructure, while enabling them to flexibly change and/or add acquirers and alternative payment methods.
Will I need to change my existing payment acquirer?
No. Zooz connects directly to the retailer’s existing payment infrastructure while giving the retailer increased flexibility to change or add acquirers and alternative payment methods.
Do I need to integrate with each and every processor that Zooz works with?
No. Retailers only require a functioning merchant account and can then integrate with one or more processors of their choice.
How does Zooz lower cross-border and currency conversion fees?
Zooz’s Smart RoutingTM solution intelligently routes transactions between multiple financial institutions and across global boundaries, so that every transaction is a local transaction. This reduces the processing expenses per transaction as well as credit card decline rates.
How can Zooz decrease my decline rates?
Zooz’s Smart Routing™ solution reduces decline rates by rerouting transactions to selected local acquirers that will accept the payment. This enables retailers to accept more credit cards and facilitate more conversions.
My processor has frequent downtime lapses, how can you help?
Zooz’s technology gives retailers the flexibility to seamlessly integrate multiple acquirers. This acquirer redundancy prevents retailers from being impacted by acquirer downtime. Instead of losing a transaction when one’s regular processor experiences downtime, Zooz reroutes the transaction to another acquirer so the transaction is not lost and the customer can still convert.
What payment gateways does Zooz partner with?
Zooz partners with many financial institutions and processors worldwide, and easily can connect retailers to additional gateways and processors. For more information about the specific services we support, please contact us.
How long does it take for Zooz to plug into new acquirers?
Zooz supports a vast network of acquirers, and we can immediately connect retailers to acquirers in our system. We can integrate acquirers whom we do not yet support. This takes one to two weeks, after which we can connect retailers immediately to that service.
Can Zooz add alternative payment methods?
Yes. Zooz is connected to a vast network of acquirers and payment methods. By integrating Zooz, retailers gain the ability to effortlessly connect to financial institutions in Zooz’s network, including additional acquirers and e-wallets. contact us for more information.
I have many branches with a different bank account for each one, can I route my funds accordingly?
Within a retailer’s account on the Zooz portal, the retailer can open different entities and define different routing factors for each entity, as well as additional relevant definitions necessary for each branch.

Omni-Channel

Omni Channel is something I hear about often, what does it mean?
Omni-Channel is a new shopping experience standard that unifies the elements of online and offline shopping to better enable retailers to meet consumer demands and preferences. By providing an Omni-Channel experience, retailers encourage brand engagement, return visits to every channel, and increased conversions.
How does Zooz create a personalised Omni-Channel user experience?
Zooz’s Omni Channel solution collects and consolidates consumer data to create unique user identities. When a customer payment is made over Zooz’s platform, the payment details are securely stored as a token, so that future payments made through different channels can be linked to the original user. This user information provides retailers with essential insights that can be used to create a personalised shopping experience and increase conversion rates.
What is an Omni-Token?
A token is an encrypted reference to user data stored on Zooz’s secure server, which can be recalled from the database when a customer completes the identification process. The Zooz Omni-Token is distinct because it references more data and richer user details, such as user information, authentication factors, and device signatures.
How can Zooz improve my checkout experience?
When a customer first interacts with a brand, Zooz uses level 1 PCI compliant tokenization technology to securely store their details to enable cross-channel consumer recognition. The ability to identify customers as individuals streamlines the checkout process online and offline and enables retailers to deliver a personalised user experience at every channel.
Does Zooz save payment card information so customers don't have to re-enter it later?
Yes. Zooz’s level 1 PCI compliant solution uses tokenization to store user and payment information, enabling retailers to recognise returning users and personalize their experience across channels.
What countries does Zooz support?
Zooz supports businesses located in America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. More geographical locations will be added in the future.
What currencies does Zooz support?

How do I get started?

Where can I read your API?
The Zooz e-commerce API is not published publicly. Contact us directly to discuss obtaining a copy of our API and to learn more about Zooz.
Can I import my credit card details from a different processor?
Yes. When retailers connect their existing infrastructure to Zooz, they can import their credit card details from their existing processors. Contact us for more information about this process and pricing.
What is the Zooz pricing structure?

When I charge a customer via Zooz, what will they see on their card statements?
Zooz is a pure, transparent technology layer that envelops merchants’ payment infrastructure. Therefore, the merchant’s details appear on customers’ card statements when they transact at a business.
Will Zooz hold my funds?
No. Zooz is not an aggregator and does not hold funds for merchants. When a transaction is settled, the payment is transferred directly to the merchant account based on the terms agreed upon with the acquirer.
When will my funds processed via Zooz be released?
Zooz is a pure technology solution that envelops a retailer’s payment infrastructures: While we facilitate the retailer’s connection to the financial institutions, the settlement terms are determined by the agreement with the processor.
Can Zooz be whitelabeled?
Yes. With Zooz’s API, a retailer can customise all aspects of the frontend user experience, while enjoying the flexibility and efficiency of Zooz’s robust backend solution.
Will Zooz be performing compliance checks?
Zooz is a pure technology layer that envelops merchants’ processing infrastructure, not a processing solution. Therefore, we do not perform compliance checks, but we do comply with the compliance regulations of our partnering acquirers.
We have a chain of 40 different hotels, will I need to open a different account for each one?
Within a retailer’s account on the Zooz portal, the retailer can open different entities, and define different account settings for each branch.
Does your product issue invoices?
Zooz is a pure technology solution that envelops payment infrastructures. Zooz does not issue invoices, it can integrate and work alongside other technologies that do offer this service.
Do I need to handle sales tax, GST, or VAT on payments I receive with Zooz?
Zooz is a pure technology solution that Zooz envelops payment infrastructures. While Zooz does not support sales tax, GST or VAT calculations, it can integrate and work alongside other technologies that do offer this service.
Does Zooz support marketplace payment models?
Zooz and our partnering acquirers do not support marketplace payments at this time.
Is there anything I cannot sell via Zooz?
Zooz is a pure technology solution that envelops retailers’ payment infrastructures and supports any transactions approved by their processors. If a processor approves the products a retailer sells, Zooz will facilitate the transaction.
My business model is considered high-risk, will Zooz be able to help me?
Zooz is a pure technology solution that envelops retailers’ payment infrastructures and supports any transactions approved by their processors. If a business model is high-risk, Zooz will facilitate transactions as long as a retailer has received approval from a processor to accept payments.
